AI FridgeChef by A-DevGroup (“AI FridgeChef”, “the app”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) helps users waste less food and cook from what they already have by scanning food photos, detecting ingredients, and generating recipe ideas.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may collect, how it is used, and what choices you have.
- Information We Collect
AI FridgeChef may collect or process the following types of information:
Food Photos and Images
When you choose or take a food photo, the app may process that image to detect ingredients and generate recipe suggestions. Photos are provided by the user voluntarily through the camera or photo picker.
Ingredient and Recipe Data
The app may process detected ingredients, manually edited ingredients, selected cuisines, pantry items, use-soon ingredients, dietary preferences, shopping list items, saved recipes, and cooked recipe history.
Subscription and Purchase Information
AI FridgeChef offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payments directly. We do not receive or store your payment card number, bank account details, or other payment credentials.
The app may process subscription status, product identifiers, purchase state, and related purchase events in order to unlock premium features and understand subscription performance.
Analytics and App Usage Data
AI FridgeChef uses Firebase / Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the app and to improve product quality.
Analytics may include app launches, screen views, taps, feature usage, scan events, recipe generation events, paywall interactions, subscription-related events, app instance identifiers, device information, operating system information, approximate region derived from IP address, and performance or diagnostic information.
Diagnostics and Performance Data
The app may collect technical information related to app performance, reliability, API errors, loading behavior, and other diagnostic events used to improve the app.
Approximate Location
Analytics providers may process approximate location, such as country or region, derived from technical data like IP address. AI FridgeChef does not collect precise GPS location.
- How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Detect ingredients from food photos
- Generate recipe suggestions
- Rank recipes based on available ingredients, missing items, pantry memory, and use-soon food
- Provide shopping list, favorites, cooked history, and preference features
- Manage free and premium app access
- Process and validate subscriptions through Apple StoreKit
- Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
- Understand which features are useful
- Diagnose technical issues and API failures
- Prevent abuse and protect the app’s functionality
- AI Processing and Backend Services
To provide ingredient detection and recipe generation, AI FridgeChef may send food photos, detected ingredients, selected cuisines, pantry context, preferences, and recipe request data to our backend and AI service providers.
This processing is necessary for the app’s core functionality.
We do not sell food photos, ingredient lists, recipe requests, pantry data, or user preferences. We do not use food photos for advertising.
- Firebase / Google Analytics
AI FridgeChef uses Firebase / Google Analytics for app analytics and product improvement.
Firebase / Google Analytics may collect app interaction data, app instance identifiers, device information, approximate location, subscription-related events, and diagnostic or performance data.
We use this information for analytics, product improvement, reliability, and feature planning.
We do not use Firebase Analytics for third-party advertising. We do not use IDFA. We do not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.
- Payments and Subscriptions
All subscription purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store.
Apple may collect and process payment information according to Apple’s own privacy policy and App Store terms. AI FridgeChef does not collect or store payment card numbers, bank account details, or billing credentials.
Subscription management, cancellation, and refunds are handled through the user’s Apple ID and App Store account settings.
- Local Data Stored on Your Device
Some app data may be stored locally on your device, including pantry items, preferences, favorites, shopping list data, cooked history, scan limits, and premium state.
You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device.
- Data Sharing
We may share data only with service providers needed to operate the app, including:
- Cloud/backend infrastructure providers
- AI processing providers
- Analytics providers
- Apple StoreKit and App Store services
These services are used to provide app functionality, analytics, subscription processing, reliability, and security.
We do not sell your personal data.
- Data Retention
AI FridgeChef keeps data only for as long as needed to provide app functionality, operate the service, improve the app, comply with legal obligations, or resolve technical issues.
Locally stored app data remains on your device until you delete it or delete the app.
Analytics and diagnostic data may be retained by analytics providers according to their own retention settings and policies.
- Your Privacy Choices
You may contact us to ask questions about your data or request deletion of data associated with your app usage where technically possible.

You can also delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data such as pantry items, preferences, favorites, shopping lists, and cooked history.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
- Children’s Privacy
AI FridgeChef is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
- International Data Processing
AI FridgeChef may process information using service providers located in different countries. By using the app, you understand that information may be processed outside your country of residence where our service providers operate.
- Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the app. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
